“荔枝新熟雞冠色，燒酒初開琥珀香”《白居易詩》，琥珀紅又名琥珀酒，鵝黃酒，鵝黃名釀，色似琥珀，又如出卵雛鵝。
The ripe lychee shows the same color of the cockscomb, while the boiled rack emits amber-like fragrance (the poem of Bai Juyi). Amber-red liquor is also called Amber Liquor Goose-yellow Liquor, because its color looks like amber newly-born goose.
酉州（酉陽）琥珀紅酒始于唐朝宮廷秘方泄傳于夏氏，嫡傳二十八代于今。琥珀紅酒傳承秘方，釀制工藝復雜，產酒率低，儲藏時間長，必須達到五年以上方能老熟，釀造出的酒體金黃透亮，呈琥珀光澤，色似檀霞之美；是若花郁之香；味如沉檀之厚；入口干爽醇甜，余味爽凈悠長。
The Amber-red Liquor of Youzhou (Youyang) wasiginated in the royal family of Tang Dynasty. Then a man named Xia got the recipe handed down for 28 generations. The Amber-red Liquor now is made strictly according to the old recipe. The process is very complicated with low yield in at least five years vintage. The liquor in glamorous golden color like amber rosy clouds owns a long-lasting sweet pure taste like flower sandalwood.
琥珀紅酒集紅酒、白酒之神韻于一體，古人飲該酒加冰塊，酒體自然分為上下兩層：上為琥珀色，下呈紅黃色，飄溢出淡雅果味悠香，趣飲“鵝黃飄絮”。該酒更為特別之處，在于飲到較時仍未醉，喝的再多，復原快捷。盛在杯中隔夜不變，遠勝隔夜留香，空杯留香之說。加水加冰，加各種不同口感的飲料均不顯現水味和不適異味。口感接近流行之洋酒風格。加軟性飲料口感更佳，可與世界名酒“白蘭地”和“威士忌”比美。
The Amber-red Liquor congregates the spirits of wine liquor. Ancient people drank it with ice. The liquor, with fruit flavors, is naturally divided in to two layers. The upper one is in amber color, while the lower part is in titan color. The most special feature of this liquor is that you would never get drunk no matter how much you drink. Its color taste would not change if kept in open glasses for a whole night, adding water, ice other drinks in it. It tastes better with soft drinks. The taste is like internationally popular wines such as brandy whisky.
